Wynn or Encore

Yes Yes, i%26#39;m too lazy to search, go ahead, flame me my fellow TA%26#39;s.. however, I just got an absolutely wonderfully sinfully delicious offer from the Wynn that I can%26#39;t refuse without a horses head on my bed offer of $109 a night (i can email friend offers on this fro $119, so if you want one, pm me, i%26#39;ll try and send out as many as i can, had to send one out to my best friend and father-in-law, so hopefully i have a couple more if you guys want it!)...

Anyhoo, on to the actual question, the Wynn offer says i can get the Encore at the same price, so for those who%26#39;ve stayed at both, what are the pro%26#39;s and con%26#39;s of the Encore compared to the Wynn. I%26#39;m used to staying at the Wynn but have yet to step foot on the new Encore, thanks!

Wynn or Encore

hate bumpin my own thread...

Wynn or Encore

I%26#39;ll comment even though I haven%26#39;t stayed at Encore.

I%26#39;ve researched the rooms and find the Encore to be larger, so getting them at the same price would be a bonus in my book.

Just visited last weekend and think the casino at Encore to be small and a little crowded. That could be just me.

There%26#39;s nothing I don%26#39;t like about the Wynn

But for the same exact price, I%26#39;d go for the larger room. The walk is 5 minutes to Wynn

cs, there are not many people who have stayed at both. I know Wynn quite well and love it. I will be at Encore in a few weeks and look forward to the comparison. Low%26#39;s take seems accurate. It%26#39;s a win-win anyway. Flip a coin?

Thought I responded to this thread already, but must not have hit Submit....

Anyway, I will echo Low%26#39;s thoughts... I recently stayed at Wynn, and could not think of a single complaint - except that Alex wasn%26#39;t open the night we wanted to go. We visited Encore one day to walk around the site and play in the casino, and I didn%26#39;t like it as much as Wynn. It seemed a bit darker and more cramped. Wynn%26#39;s casino is big and bright and very easy to navigate. Encore as a whole seems more ';contemporary'; than Wynn, and that%26#39;s not really my style. We had a standard resort room at Wynn and thought the space was perfectly adequate, so the slightly larger Encore rooms would not be a deciding factor for me.

If price were equal for both, I would choose the Wynn every time.

I am the opposite of these guys, having stayed only at Encore. I pretty much agree with Low%26#39;s assessment - everything is so close that it pretty much feels like one resort anyway - restaurants, etc.

We found the Encore casino to be much smaller, too, but it was anything but crowded when we were there. Funny, sometimes places show poor design (or lack of comfortable space) only when full of folks. I%26#39;d like to revisit when it is hopping. If you are interested in the sports books, Encore%26#39;s is nothing more than one side of a four-sided kiosk, while the one at Wynn is large, comfortable, and accomodating.

Here is a link to our recent Encore review, if you%26#39;re interested.

oops, here it is

On the club side, XS at Encore is much larger then Tryst at the Wynn. XS has an outdoor pool inside the club area :)

You can%26#39;t go wrong with either so it%26#39;s just personal preference. I would say since you stayed at Wynn then give Encore a try so you%26#39;ll know for yourself which you prefer in the future.

I%26#39;m planning to do that on my visit in June.

This sounds like good advice!

I too had the choice in Jan. for 3 free nights at either. Since we had already stayed at the Wynn 3 times we thought why not? We loved the Encore! I think the pool is better...loved the smaller casino...atmosphere. The rooms were bigger and better too. Hope this helps...
