Wynn Hotel

Please help I have booked for 7 nights in the wynn please what can i expect,I have read good reviews and bad

I am in a resort room, I have stopped in the signature before have i made a mistake

Wynn Hotel

Wynn is one of the best hotels in Vegas. You%26#39;ll almost dertainly be fine! Every hotel gets bad reviews - bear in mind that the 5% of unhappy guests (and every hotel in the world has these) are way more likely to post an online review than those who were totally satisfied.

Bear in mind that you%26#39;re in for a slightly difference experience to what you had at Signature. The Sig is a little more detached from ';the action'; than what you%26#39;ll find with a Resort Room at Wynn. Whether that works or not for you is hard to say without knowing your tastes and needs. If you want something closer to a Signature feel then Wynn%26#39;s Tower Suites may be a better bet.

Wynn Hotel

Rest easy. Wynn is the best hotel on the Strip. But it is also the most expensive, so many posters have unreasonable expectations.

Go back and read the reviews again and you will notice that with a few exceptions the unfavorable ones all fall in the same categories:

The poster is comparing Wynn to luxury hotels in other venues. They are shocked that they have to pay for amenities like access to the fitness center, internet service, etc. This is common in LV, but somone who is not a frequent visitor isn%26#39;t aware of this. Also they expect the same level of service from a hotel with 2000 rooms as they do in a luxury hotel with 200 rooms and that just can%26#39;t happen.

The poster is not used to staying in luxury properties in other cities. This person is aghast that the buffet cost%26#39;s $30 instead of $15, and that a cup of coffee costs $4. They are surprised that a luxury hotel has high-end restaurants where dinner cost $100, and that there aren%26#39;t more affordable options. They don%26#39;t realize that ALL luxury hotels are like this.

The poster is a more frequent visitor who mostly goes to LV to gamble and stays at other, more modest, hotels. They feel that because the room at Wynn costs twice as much as thier normal hotel that the room should be twice as large or nice. This person doesn%26#39;t take advantage of the ameneties. They don%26#39;t eat at the better restaurants, use the pool or certainly the spa. They are just there to use the room. For them Wynn seems over-priced.

There are others who for thier own reasons are disapointed with Wynn. But when you eliminate those in the above groups I think you will find the reviews are a lot more favorable.

BTW: Instead of reading the hotel reviews, I would suggest reading TR%26#39;s of those who stay at Wynn. This will give you a much more accurate picture. Enjoy your trip.

I agree with both blagger and ktinca. I find reading trip reports to be much more helpful than reading hotel reviews.

Wynn is a fabulous hotel, I don%26#39;t see how a person couldn%26#39;t love staying there.

Blagger and ktinca are correct.

ktinca gave great detailed info.

Wynn is the best. Expect to pay more at places inside the Wynn.

I%26#39;m an MGM type guy. 3 star and comfortable.

Stayed at the Wynn this year and if I could afford it, I%26#39;d always stay there.

This may sound silly, but they pay attention to detail. When I rolled our the drawers in the room, it%26#39;s like they floated out. So darn smooth.

Expect great service here.

When they don%26#39;t they go out of the way to fix it.

Two examples.

They forgot to stock my bathroom with shampoo and conditioner. One call brought a full bag of every goodie they could think of. Multiple everything in that bag.

They forgot toast on in room dining. Not only did he rush out and get that toast, brought he also brought back a full plate of chocolates to appologize.

I had nothing but great service at the Wynn.

Yeah a lot of bad reviews come from unreasonable expectations, I%26#39;m sure some people have legitimate gripes but you will find that most of the regulars on this forum that have stayed at Wynn have positive things to say. Every now and then a random hater will float in and make a few negative scathing comments but then they disappear after a few posts, never to return again. The service I recieved at Wynn was phenomenal. The only people I saw on my floor were Wynn employees and everytime I ran into one they stopped what they were doing and greeted us warmly. We never saw housekeeping anywhere near our room and yet everytime we left and came back our room was clean and perfect, they were like ninjas...hahaha. Do we need to be greeted like that? Do we need ice in our buckets waiting for us every night? Chocolates on the nightstand? Slippers set out next to the bed? No, but it sure was nice.

thanks to you all

i think some of these whingers should come to europe and sample the service in spain or greece and see where their coplaing gets them ha ha

I agree with everything that Lowrance said...

Enjoy the Wynn, the property is beautiful and the service and staff are wonderful.....

Will be staying there is a few weeks.....can%26#39;t wait!!

(Our second stay....)

No worries ;) Lea

OH.....enjoy Vegas......

Just to add a vote for Wynn, here...best hotel on the strip as far as I%26#39;m concern. Our resort room was beautiful and we flet pampered. Read my review on this site. :)

We stayed at The Wynn for one night in December. When we first walked into the room we were very impressed. Then after a bit we noticed an old nylon in the corner of the sofa and the tub was dirty. I called down and we were moved to a different room. This one was clean, but did not have any rugs in the bathroom like the first room did, no big deal tho. Other than that, we really enjoyed our stay there. The beds are wonderful and the shower pressure is great. The only other trouble we had, they told my husband to use his room key as his players card, but when we went to the players card desk we found out they put someone elses # on his card/room key. It was someone who had stayed there in 2005 and had the same first name. If we hadn%26#39;t found that out, he would have been playing and getting points on someone elses card. So,make sure you have the right name and # for your players card. You will love it there tho, a very nice hotel.
