Mirage, MGM Grand or Treasure Island

I%26#39;ve been receiving the email updates from Smarter Vegas and after looking at all the offers I have received and my budget, I%26#39;ve come down to a choice between Mirage, MGM Grand or Treasure Island.

From the photos posted by other visitors I really like the grounds of the Mirage. Perhaps I am mistaken, but Treasure Island seems like a hotel more suited for families?

I%26#39;d just be staying in the basic rooms whichever I chose (usually called the deluxe room), so I would be interested to know which of these three hotels others would most recommend.

Thanks

Mirage, MGM Grand or Treasure Island

Treasure Island gave up the family angle when they changed the name to TI. MGM will have more families than TI or Mirage.

All are great hotels. MGM being on the south end of the strip and Mirage and TI being mid strip.

Where do you want to be? What do you want to do?

Mirage, MGM Grand or Treasure Island

I%26#39;m not a big gambler myself so will probably resign myself to only playing slots or simple money wheel type of games.

But most of my time will probably be spent seeing some shows, shopping and I am also taking a day trip out to the Grand Canyon.

If you%26#39;re into shopping. Mirage/TI is right in between the Fashion show Mall and Ceasar%26#39;s forum shops, its also not too far from the Venetian shops either. There%26#39;s not much shopping around MGM since its all the way on the other end. I haven%26#39;t been to Treasure Island since it became ';TI'; but from the looks of it, doesn%26#39;t seem like it suits me very well, even though I%26#39;ll be 25 when I go in May.

My vote goes to the Mirage. (Which I%26#39;ll be staying at in about a month)

Lots of shopping in the Mirage and TI area at reasonable walking distances.

This is the heart of the strip.

All 3 are solid hotels. Mirage and MGM have better pools. TI and Mirage are more centrally located.

I will also be 25 when I%26#39;m there, and the better pool at Mirage sounds good.

Honestly speaking, I was leaning towards the Mirage because I really like the volcano.

Shopping + pool + volcano = Mirage

Thanks for all the help!

Just wondering, is there any particular request I should put when I book? I doubt they will be able to grant it, but in any case...?

Stayed at TI for the last two years and at MGM twice too. TI is great now. Rooms are upgraded and pool is excellent. Hotel is nice and small and easy to navigate around. MGM hs great pools but it is too big to get around and TI has a better location. Was put off the Mirage due to reports that you can never get a seat around the pool. You should book just now and keep an eye on aye rate changes and discount codes via the smarter vegas website. You can then cancel and rebook as many times as you want as usually your deposit is just one night stay and they will refund that to you. Good luck

Stayed at TI when i was 22 and loved it.

Great younger crowd, very nice rooms, and very close to all the shopping you want.

KA is also in TI so you are close to Cirque.

I%26#39;m trying Mirage this April just for sake of change.

But between the two i would have no problem staying at either one.

As for MGM too far down the strip for me, and nothing attracted me to that part of the strip.

Good luck and enjoy!

Happymeal, it depends what you like. If you like relaxing by the pool, than don%26#39;t stay at T.I. Their pool relatively sucks. The pool at Mirage is one of the best, and MGM has a nice variety of pools as well as the Lazy River.

Mirage and MGM both have good nightclubs. MGM is very large, so if you don%26#39;t mind walking 1/2 mile to get to the strip, then that%26#39;s ok. Mirage is in a better location and easier to navigate. There is a tram going from Mirage to T.I. and a walkway over to Caesar%26#39;s. You also have the Venetian across the street, as well as Harrah%26#39;s.

MGM is a bit isolated but there is a walkway to NY/NY, and Bellagio is walkable (20 min.).

I would say the rooms at the MGM are a bit larger, but Mirage supposedly has updated their rooms.

I tend to like the Mirage casino better than MGM, as it%26#39;s easier to get around and find your way. MGM is way too spread out.

I hope this helps!
