How much will we need?

My husband and I are thinking of visiting LV over the easter holiday, we will be coming for 4 days from the uk, how much spending money would we need? Taking into account food, acitivities, drinks. Thanks everyone for your help.

How much will we need?

well that%26#39;s pretty subjective. If you%26#39;re a low roller you could get away with $500 in cash, but the sky is the limit.

How much will we need?

Me and my wife are in vegas this november for our first visit,Plan to play the slots a bit,eat well and drink a bit along the way,we plan to take $1,500 for 4 days,

Darren

How much do you have?

4 days you could do for as little as $200; one big buffet a day, minimal gambling, no shows, etc. But what kind of vacation is that?!?

You can spend as much as you can comfortably afford; how much you ';need'; depends on how much gambling you%26#39;re willing to do and at what stakes, how many shows you want to see, how fancy you want to eat and drink, etc...

But, you asked for a number so I%26#39;d say that with average amounts of all of the above, $1,500 should be good.

We are going next month and plan on bring the credit card for meals, already have show tickets, and for 4 nights about 1000 in cash for gambling and tipping.

Well this is all last min, so Im not sure how much we will have, but we shouldnt be spending too much on the gambling, we want to eat well, have a few drinks, and maybe see a show or something like that.

Thanks for your help so far x

It is so hard to give you an answer. Food can cost anywhere from $10 a person all the way to several hundred dollars per person per meal. You can get drinks free if you are gambling and some places have beer and margaritas for 99 cents. But you can also spend over $20 for a drink- depending on where you are drinking. Show can be free (Big Elvis) at Bills or you can spend a couple of hundred dollars on a ticket. Same with attractions- free, cheap or expensive.

I think you are going about this all wrong. Decide how much you want to spend on the trip per person. Divide that by four. Then decide how much you want to spend on meals, drinks, shows, etc.per day. People then would be able to give you more suggestions. If you don%26#39;t mind spending $100 per person for a dinner people could give you some restauramts to try. If you only wanted to spend $30- the list would be different.

I agree with vp03 - decide how much you%26#39;re willing to part with and make that work. It%26#39;s different for every Vegas visitor and there are certainly food options that fit in every budget. For gambling, only you can decide how much you%26#39;re willing to lose.

how much you got?

I take about $100.00 a day for slots (I play pennies in the evening).

If I play craps I bring a decent bankroll.

Food varies, I eat mainly at the diners.

Bring eniough for tips for housekeeping($5 a day), drinks($1 a drink), dining, bellhop etc.

Good thinking, Pook. We forgot about the tips and transportation costs. Cabs? Monorail? Deuce? Where are you staying?
