Hi. We are staying in Vegas next week but will be going to Zion for 1 day and are looking to stop at a casino on the way back to eat/play a little. I have been to Mesquite 1 time 2 years ago while staying in St. George but don%26#39;t remember the names of the casinos I visited. Can anyone tell me which they prefer for the buffet and the costs as well as gambling preference. Thanks!

This forum doesn%26#39;t get much traffic...maybe consider posting on the Las Vegas forum, ask people where they have stopped in Mesquite on the way to/from Zion. I%26#39;m sure there are a lot who have made a detour. :)
(Only stopped for gas myself so can%26#39;t help)
Try the Casablanca. We love that place, but don%26#39;t know if the buffet will be open. They have a resturant ( The Purple Fez) that is very good and also Katherine%26#39;s is GREAT for dinner. I enjoy the casino also.
The 24hr cafe at Virgin River wasn%26#39;t too bad. It was a couple of years ago but I do recall being perfectly happy with the food and service.

We were at the Casablanca two weeks ago and the buffet was closed. The restaurant (Purple Fez) was very good. The steak house ( Katherine%26#39;s) is outstanding!!! We like the Casablanca casino because of the layout and the air quality ( not as smokey). Cocktail service is always great.
Virgin River buffet is quite good and the 24 hour restaurant serves an unbelievable ham steak and egg special, (its huge). All the food was really good.

We used to go to the buffet @ the Casablance but the last time I was not impressed. We were told the buffet at the Eureka was delicious and decided to try it. I was impressed, Everything was fresh and the place was spotless. While we were there we joined the player%26#39;s club and at that time if you had a card you were able to get a discount at the buffet.
