I am heading to Las Vegas (first time there) in July and am wondering if anyone has some suggestions on cheapish hotels in a good location?

Jessles 01, check out Kayak.com for hotels. They will offer you multiple choices in many price ranges.

We will be staying at the Desert Rose (Located just behind Hooters) for 11 nights in late April through Mid May.

Got it for less than $50 a night.

Remember, before you book, google for discount codes - We did and saved $150 for our stay ;)

At that time of year you should be able to get the Imperial Palace for about $50 a night or less Sunday through Thursday. A little more on Friday and Saturday.

Imperial is right in the center of the strip. The rooms are clean and plenty large enough for two people. The casino is OK, but you have 10 or more other casinos within a 5 min walk.

I%26#39;ve seen Flamingo and Bally%26#39;s for as little as $45 a night in mid-July. Would go with the Flamingo just because of the pool. Avoid early July, rates are high because Independence Day (4th of July) holiday,
