ciggies????

hi all, can anyone tell me how many ciggies i can take to vagas with me, is it 200 each? thanks in advance

ciggies????

200 per person.

ciggies????

Hi LL,

Definately 200 per person in total. Obviously if you smoke the 200 in Vegas then you can buy another box at the airport on the way back. Beware if you are flying from Manchester, the BAA staff positively encourage you to buy at least 400 each, they must be on commission!

When are you going to Vegas? I am counting down 42 days cannot wait.

We are staying at The Orleans, anyone stayed there on this forum?

To Sally;

The Orleans is way off the strip area and in a not so great area. The Hotel itself is nthing great either. Looks more like a large motel than a hotel. You get what you pay for. If you are staying there I recommend renting a car or you will need to take a taxi to anywhere and everywhere. It is far removed from all the action and major hotels on the strip. Personally I would never stay there. You will miss out on the VEGAS experience by staying there. The rooms or ok- very basic, nothing outstanding that%26#39;s for sure.

You can actually purchase more than 200 from duty free. You would need to declare the extras on your US customs form and depending on the whim of the agent, pay the tax at the LV airport. I have known a coworker that woudl buy and extra carton or two, declare them on the chance te agent will not want to go through the hassle of collecting the tax. He claims 100% success in getting through tax free.

Many thanks for your reply ref The Orleans. This will be our 14th trip to Vegas, so not worried about the strip too much. Was hoping the rooms wouldn%26#39;t be too bad, never mind, we have booked 7 nights, but can always check out if its that bad. The hotel does have a bus service to the strip, which is how we found The Orleans last year

Hi

I have stayed twice at the Orlean%26#39;s in the past, (maybe 5 years ago) and would not describe it as the poster who said it was like a motel! The rooms were nicely laid out and clean, the pool area was good too. Not stayed at the lower end hotels on the strip, like IP or Stratosphere, but I am sure the Orlean%26#39;s will be far nicer than those, I tried MGM last year and the rooms were not better, just different.

Thanks Clive, that has put my mind at rest a bit. We visited there last year for the first time and thought it was great. Try to do something different in Vegas every year, last year it was to visit The Orleans and sister hotels, this year, we%26#39;ll be staying there - could be something to do with the amount of money I took away from there ....

Sally

the orleans is fine they run a shuttle bus from there to the gold coast hotel stayed there last june and on to the strip at the side of bills and ballys so you wont be stuck bus is every 15 mins last bus from bills is 12 so you may have to take taxi if on strip after that but a good hotel have fun
