My Little trip report

Just thought i%26#39;d post a few comments about my trip last week..sorry if its boring!

Flew direct with Virgin; awful flight! They ran out of drink 3 hours before we hit Vegas which was fun!

Turned up to glorious sunshine so in a better mood already; then discover my shower gel had exploded in my case- great! Thankfully had only covered my toiletry bag so not escaped anywhere else! now i was always told that bad news came in 3s..so on to teh Four queens and i was waiting for what was to go wrong next!! Check in was nice and quick, room on 18th floor, 2 beds and overlooking the Strat...so far so good! Had a quick shower and then wandered around downtown. Played a little roulette and lost; played a few slots...and lost! Oh well, was fun trying! think we crashed in the end about 11 which i was quite impressed with (being 6am UK time!)

Thurs morn was wide awake about 5:30; persuaded my friend (C) to get up about half 6 and we went to Fremont for the buffet breakfast, cheap and easy with a decent choice. Played a lil mroe roulette- adn you guessed it we lost! So went back to our room to put swimwear on and hit the roof top pool at Binions; this was cool. was empty so nice and quiet, time to fry!!

after starting to feel my skin on fire we left and wandered around the Golden Nugget- played Monopoly (with the jetpack bonus?) my new fave game loved it! and also another one where the bonus was balls with diff amounts of credits (sorry i forgot the name!) had fun on these and a few strawbery daiquiris then went back for a lie down. Nighttime returned to the GN played a few more slots (won $98 on monopoly so was well happy!! C also won $70 at almost teh same time) so we cashed out and went into teh Rush Lounge. Live band were pretty cool, very comfy chairs so was beginning to feel a bit sleepy so we headed off for a walk. Ended up in the Plaza where there was a group on stage; they were ok. Stayed in there and had a laugh and dance til they shut about half 2ish. Had befriended some people so we all headed off to Golddiggers...I LOVE this place!! We had a great time; until tehy threw us out at half 5 because they were shutting! headed back to the four queens and had pancakes and strawberries at magnolias, then time for some shut eye!

Awoke Friday morning feeling a little Fragile and decided to head to the Strip for a walk. Cabbed it to Sahara then jumped on the Monorail down to MGM; was disappojted that we were too early to see the lions. Then we walked from casino to casino; won $10 free play on teh spinning wheel outside Monte Carlo and lost that in about 5 seconds. Loved the ceiling inside Paris...and even had a go at teh $100 free slot play in Casino Royale (even though you know its a waste everyone was doing it!) By the time we got to the Wynn we were shattered and my feet hurt! Beautiful hotel though, if i ever win teh lottery i want to go shopping there!! Jumped on the bus back downtown and went for a lie around the pool for an hour. Decided to have a chilled night so played a few slots, tried to learn craps and lost $50 in about 3 minutes- decided this was no fun so went and sat at a Wizard Of Oz slot machine which i%26#39;d heard so much about on here! Glinda was very nice to me and arrived a few times, didnt win much (cashed out about $20 up but got a few drinks and had fun!) C was playing the Dirty Harry game next to me and nearly had a heart attack everytime the chair spoke to her!!

Sat was another chilled out day around the pool, had a call from back home to say it was raining (and i tried very hard not too laugh :-)!). We went back to the Golden Nugget and i won $200 on monopoly (the hotel one with teh train bonus?) this was great! around 7pm got teh bus down teh strip- and my lord how much traffic!! Took nearly an hour to get to teh Bellagio, where we watched the Fountains and walked up to TI to watch the ship show. Had completely forgotten about Earth Hour so everything was cancelled and the lights were being turned off. Was very strange and a little odd looking down the strip to almost darkness! So we bussed back to downtown and got ready for another night in Golddiggers (where i quickly spent my early win!)

Sunday woke up sorry to be going homel would of loved an extra day! Went and did a little shopping and got a few souverniers before we squeezed in another hour of sunbathing! Had an hour to waste before we had to go the airport so sat at a Happy days machine- now this machine loved me! I got bonus after bonus and ended up $100 up! Quickly cashed out and thought theres my duty free paid for!

Got a taxi to the airport...went past Mandalay and about 5minutes later was thinking surely we should be there by now?? Nope...i think we got tunnelled! cab fare was $40.80 went we turned up at teh airport- i gave the drive $41 and i admit a bit of a dirty look...he sheepishly got back in teh car and didnt say a word! I was gobsmacked!

Flight home was delayed, so had a burger king and did some shopping. Had $11 left so thought i%26#39;d play a machine. Picked a blazing 7%26#39;s, 2 spins down and won $66! Got really excited so cashed out! Then thought i might as well put the odd $6 into another machine so sat on a wheel of fortune. Got the bonsu twice...and cashed out $74 up! So you guessed it put teh random $4 in on a wild cherries one and won $38 on the last spin!! Decided my luck was done and walked to the gate!! Was nice to leave with some money!!

Miss Vegas already- even though teh Jet Lag is awful! I%26#39;ll be back soon! Sorry for boring you all!

Nice job at the airport!!! I should have my wife read this. Just cuz we won money, she wouldn%26#39;t let me gamble it at the airport!

Too funny about the Dirty Harry chair!

Got notices in the room at MC and the Wynn about earth day. But when it happened we were inside the Wynn so never noticed it!!!

Ah thanks for the nice comments guys; i love reading peoples trip reports on here so thought i%26#39;d share.

Yeah was brillaint winning at teh airport! Especially as there wasnt many places to spend it! There was actually quite a few people winning around me as well; which i was suprised too.

I love downtown i must admit- the strip is great to see but its just a little too mcuh for me if that makes sense. I like being able to walk around 6 hotels in 10 minutes!

All i need to do now is persuade my boyfriend for a trip! I fancy staying at the GN!

I love downtown trip reports! We stay downtown and will be going in May. Did Gold Diggers have a lot of people there? I wanted to go last trip, but never made it. When we went to Las Vegas in November, it cost more for the cab getting downtown then it did getting back to the airport from downtown. We went through the tunnel on the way back to the airport.

Yes Golddiggers was packed both Thursday and Sat night; its nice having the balcony to get some fresh air! being from the UK were not used to being surrounded by smokers anymore!

We didnt get in tehre both nights til after 1 am though so i%26#39;m not sure what time it starts getting busy but deff worth a visit x

Nice trip report..not boring at all. Love your wins at the airport - that%26#39;s where most people blow the last of their money.
