TR Me and the Grannies

Just got back from 4 days with my mom and 2 of her friends. Played tour guide to three lovely ladies all in there 70%26#39;s. I tell you these old gals know how to party. Up way past midnight every night and I could hardly hold my head up.

Day 1 Spokane to Vegas flight via Southwest. Plane was on time and baggage made it ok. They had free rooms at Harrahs so got checked in. Luggage hits the floor and away they go to the slot machines. Hit a couple times with Wicked Witches and Pompaii. Not sure if I spelled these machines right. Not a slot player myself. Headed to Grand Lux for dinner. Always good food. Then to Love at Mirage. They Loved it. All three of them. None of them Beatles fans but I insisted they give it a go. They were sitting on the edge of their seats through the whole show. They are all short so got tickets first-row balcony and they could all see perfectly this way. First quiet time in hours and got to sit down. Show gets out and off to play more slots. Midnight comes around and its time for a drink and walk down to Bellagio to watch the fountain. My whole body wants to hit the bed but on they go. Was starting to wonder if they were all secretly taking speed or something. Go go go. Ahhh bed at 2:00 am.

Day 2. Wake up to a ringing phone at 7 am. All three have been up for an hour and ready to go. OMG I%26#39;m so tired. Pull the sheet over my head and wonder what have I got myself into. How in the world am I going to keep up with the grannies. Had breakfast at the coffeeshop at Harrahs. Off to the Venetian to the wax museam. Finish there and off to walk around the inside. Now its 2:30 and all three are Elvis fans so head to Bills to see Big Elvis. I grew up listening to Elvis watching my mom dance around the house. I tell you this guy is good. If you closed your eyes you think its Elvis singing. Nice guy with a terrific voice. Walk back to Harrahs where they all find their favorite machines. Its 6 pm and we get on the shuttle that goes from Harrah%26#39;s to Sam%26#39;s Town. Grannies play some slots and then we get some dinner. From there we get the shuttle from Sam%26#39;s Town to Freemont. Watch the lazer light show a couple times, walk around, grannies play more slots. Nobody is hitting but the energy is still go go go. Tried twice to get a deep fried twinkie or oreo but they kept saying come back they were out. Take a taxi back to the strip. Got a taxi cab driver that just couldn%26#39;t say NO to these three old ladies with these huge smiles so he does the whole drive down the strip with the windows open. Back to Harrahs where the grannies played more slots and I went to bed. I%26#39;m thinking it gets dark and they turn into vampires and need no sleep.

Day 3. 9 am phone ringing. Their up and ready to go. Coffee and out for the morning walk. Ahhhh great time to walk I%26#39;m told first thing in the morning. Walk down to the Wynn and then stopped at Outback Steakhouse for lunch. Took a taxi to NYNY where they played some slots. Nobody is really hitting so back to Harrahs. Ok now this is hilarious. The one show they wanted to see was Chippendales. Yup thats right. Head to the Rio at 6 pm. Took them up to the Voodoo lounge so they could see the city of lights. Its so beautiful up there. Last time I was there it was 10.00 cover to go up and down the elevator to the 50th floor. Right up and no cover. Down to the Chippendale show. Got our seats and I was amazed at how many other grannies were there along with the bridal shower parties. It was fun and they loved the show. Back to Harrahs listening to them all the way back in the taxi talking about this butt and that butt. We get this taxi driver who is just hilarious. He tries convincing the grannies he use to be a Chippendales dancer. He doesn%26#39;t realize these grannies are go go vampire grannies and don%26#39;t believe him but smile and say how nice. Get out of the car and none of them were convinced this guy was a Chippendales dancer.

Day 4 Ringing ringing at 8 am. They are ready for coffee and what is on the agenda. Walk over to Paris where they see the sights and play some slots. Had lunch at PF Changs. Stopped in Bills for the 2:30 Elvis show. Couldn%26#39;t leave Vegas without a second time to see Elvis. All three had a request and he sang one for each of them. I%26#39;m telling you these three grannies know how to charm. Back to Harrahs for more slots. Grabbed some food in the coffeeshop and headed to Bellagio for ';O';. Walked around Bellagio and through the conservatory. Its my favorite hotel and I never get tired of admiring its beauty. Grannies love the hotel and agree its their favorite too. Sit down and watch ';O';. Two grannies liked Love better, my mom liked ';O'; better. I thought the show was terrific and so glad I finally got to see it, but Love is still my favorite Vegas show. After the show we watched the fountains for a couple times and headed back to Vegas. Grannies grab there favorite machines and play until 2 am.

Day 5. Get up and head to the airport. Southwest home and no problems. Three happy grannies who all said they had the time of their life. Now I%26#39;m going to bed.

Sounds like you had a great time with the grannies. You better be careful, they might not take you next time if you can%26#39;t keep up.
