My Trip to Vegas Ceasers, Venitian March 26-31

36 year old male on his first solo mission to Las Vegas.

My Trip to Vegas Ceasers, Venitian March 26-31

Just got back from Vegas. I have enjoyed reading peoples trip reports in the past I felt I should give back. I must warn you that I am a terribly boring writer. But I will do my best. Trip was March 25-31

I was supposed to go with my wife but she ended up not being able to go. I made the sacrifice of going by myself. It was a tough decision. Luckily she let me come back home.

Trip didn’t start very well I got to JFK airport at 45 minutes before 8pm flight departure and they said the flight was booked and I couldn’t get on unless I pay for an upgrade to first class. This annoyed me on two levels, One being that I had to wait until the next morning to get to Vegas and I lost a whole night in sin city. Secondly it informed me that all my life movies and tv shows lied to me about the possibility of getting a free upgrade to first class and sitting next to a supermodel. Darn you Seinfeld.

Luckily my wife had not left yet and she drove me back home.

Even though I had an early departure at 7 am I wasn’t able to sleep. After a few hours trying I just said forget it and stayed up all night. Thinking I would be able to sleep the whole plane ride there. Spent a bit of time on this website wasting the hours away.

Okay now this time I got to the airport early. There was no one else there for my flight at the time. Very weird for me as I make it a point to come as late as possible. But at least I was able to switch my seat from a middle seat to a window exit row seat. First time ever and man I enjoyed the legroom. Unfortunately I was not able to sleep for more than 2 hours. I have wisely concluded that I am not able to sleep on planes. I had been up for 24 hours at the time and yet I still couldn’t fall asleep for long. This is bad as I was supposed to go rock climbing at red rocks when I landed.

Touched down about 10 am. I was starved and had an overpriced but tasty sandwich at the airport. Was surprisingly awake and alert ready to start my Vegas vacation. I called up Jane who I was supposed to climb with. I never met her before. We were both looking for a partner to climb with through Rockclimbing.com. She picked me up and we headed to Red Rock Canyon for some climbing. We spent the day at a sport climbing wall named the Panty wall because from a distance it does look like a woman’s panties. I didn’t have it in me that day so I didn’t do to well but I had fun trying. Lack of sleep may have been a cause but who knows since I did feel wide awake. We did 5 different routes along that wall.

She then dropped me off at Ceaser’s Palace and my solo trip started.

I was only staying here for one night but it was perfect as they have hot tubs in the room which is great after a full day of climbing.

This incredibly nice and cute girl checked me into a room in the Augustus tower facing the strip. It’s a large room but not nicely arranged. It didn’t feel cozy or comfortable. Not my first visit here so I knew what I was in for. Don’t get me wrong it’s a decent room I just don’t think they made a good use of space. Took a hot tub bath, got dressed and headed down to play.

Walked around the casino a bit before I settled on a blackjack table. I wish I walked a little more as the dealer gobbled up my 800$ buyin in no time flat. I pushed off my chair in my typical annoyed grumpy old man manner, muttering under my breath and headed to the atm for more ammo.

Now with fresh funds at my disposal I headed to the craps table. It of course started off bad as the first two shooters of which I was one, sucked. I was down another 300$ in no time. But I persevered knowing my time will come. Lo and behold the next 4 shooters (of which I was one) had very good rolls. I was now up to 3500 from my original 1000 buy in (1800 if you count blackjack). 2 guys smartly cashed out then but I stayed for a couple more shooters and then left with 3000. Not too shabby.

Called my wife for a bit and then headed to the higher limit area to play some Baccarat. There was this fun couple of guys from Texas and the dealers were cool. Stayed there for a while and was always up but not much. Ended up making another 200. Would have been more if I didn’t keep going to the roulette table and placing 100$ on 2nd 12 which never hit.

Then I did what I consider a true sin in Las Vegas, I went to sleep. 10pm. I didn’t even get to use my free food comp.

More to come

My Trip to Vegas Ceasers, Venitian March 26-31

Enjoying your trip report. Keep it coming.

Really nice TR, waiting patiently for more!!!!

This is great! You%26#39;re not a boring writer at all!

Anxiously waiting for the next segment..... :)

Hurry!

Great report Domat!! Can%26#39;t wait to hear your thoughts on your Venetian room as we have reservations for an Augustus room and a Venetian room in May. Have to cancel one of them before our trip.

I would defiantly choose the Venitian. It is now my favorite room in Vegas. That sunken living room is great. i love the feel of the room. No whirlpool tub though which Ceaser%26#39;s has.

I would rank the rooms I stayed in this order

Venitian regular room

wynn 2 room suite (even if the venitian room would fit in this ones bathrooms)

Wynn regular room

Ceaser%26#39;s Augustas room

Mirage regular room

Flamingo go suite

Imperial Palace- oh this is bad.

Nice report. Keep going.
