My recent trip review

Just got back (yesterday) after spending 4 nights at the Edgewater. I%26#39;ve stayed at the Edgewater many times over the years and when I come alone (annually) the Edgewater fully meets my needs. The beds are comfortable and the TV is good enough. I really don%26#39;t spend a lot of time in the room anyways. Since I booked the room with three fee nights, I knew I wouldn%26#39;t get the best location. I actually got a river view with a balcony. The only bad part was I was directly over the roof of the casino - but hey, I had a great view of the Arizona Mountains and the river. Now if I take my wife, we most likely will stay in the Trop, Golden Nugget, or Aquarius. The gaming was, like always, up a little, down a little. Since this was mostly a golfing trip for me, I really didn%26#39;t gamble high stakes. I (and I can%26#39;t believe I%26#39;m saying this) found the penny machines really fun. The Indiana Jones in the Edgewater is a hoot! Really, most of the penny machines are really fun. You can put a five dollar bill in and just have fun. They seem to the %26#39;new%26#39; thing. I also played some VP (nickel and quarter) and found a three dollar black jack table (Edgewater). From a marketing standpoint, I just don%26#39;t understand why they don%26#39;t have more 3 and 4 dollar black jack tables open. It seems that at any given time there are 4-5 empty 5 and up dollar tables completely empty. As always, everybody was very nice (tourists and service people), in fact, I was having lunch at the Pioneer and this gentleman bought my lunch! He had a birthday comp and couldn%26#39;t use it so he asked me if I didn%26#39;t mind if he bought me lunch! Only in Laughlin. After four nights, I hated to leave, but the realities of my family and work couldn鈥檛 be avoided! Can%26#39;t wait to come back with my good friend in August.
