How to get to Freemont Street from MGM Grand?

Hi All

I have been reading some websites and they say the trolley bus no longer goes from the strip to Freemont Street.

Is this correct and if so, whats the altenative apart from cab?

Thanks

Scott

How to get to Freemont Street from MGM Grand?

I would take the monorail to the Sahara then take a cab to fremont st.

How to get to Freemont Street from MGM Grand?

Unless things have changed in the last year, I%26#39;m pretty sure the Deuce runs from LVB to Freemont Street.

Yes - jump on the Deuce, easy and cheap and takes you door or door almost! $3 each way or if you are going to use it more, you can buy a $7 a day pass.

If you already have 24 hr passes for the monorail, take it to Sahara or LV Hilton, then get a cab.

The bus is miserable, but is by far the cheapest way to go.

The bus will take over an hour to get downtown. Sometimes longer. Take a cab pay the $25 it will be much nicer for your vacation.

You have 3 options.

1- Walk. This will take forever unless you are really into walking. I mean forever. Its a very long way.

2- The Duece. Second in slowness only to walking. It goes about the same speed but you do it sitting down. If you like riding the bus at home and having it stop every ten feet to let dozens of people off and on, you will love it. You get to be crammed in with a bunch of strangers so it does differ from walking in that respect.

3- Take a cab and be there in 15 minutes.

You gotta pay to play.

take a wander over the bridge to the bus stop outside the tropicana - you%26#39;ll then get a seat on the bus which is far from guaranteed if you get on at the next stop up.

The Deuce is fine. Remember, all these Americans who are so time conscious are probably only there for 2-4 days at a time so we generally don%26#39;t have to be quite as manic on holiday.

Hi Scott,

Take the Duece(Bus), it has a stop out on LVB right outside of MGM.

Depending on the time of day, the Duece will take anywhere from 20 mins - 1 hr to get to Fremont.

The morning will be quicker than the afternnon, but get a seat on the 2nd level and see the whole strip and just enjoy the sights.

Cheers,

We took the Deuce on a Thursday evening around 9pm and the bus pretty much flew through which was why I suggested it! It certainly took no more than 25 mins and beat the chopping and changing types of transportation. I was only there 4 days so fairly short of time too but found the Deuce pretty good.(considering I live in London and can%26#39;t bear the red buses!)

We didn%26#39;t encounter anyone rude on any journey.

See how mnay wedding chapels you can count!

I was in Vegas a couple of years ago and asked someone in our hotel the easiest way to get to Fremont. They suggested the monorail to the Sahara and even told us there was a shuttle there that takes people to Fremont. HA! To our surprise the shuttle that they spoke of turned out to be the city bus! There was a security guard standing at the monorail station at the Sahara when we got off and he told us where to catch the city bus and kept telling us ';be sure not to walk from here to Fremont, it%26#39;s a really bad part of town.'; I thought I%26#39;d give you a heads up, if you%26#39;re not expecting that, it%26#39;s a little frustrating.
