Craps at CP

I%26#39;m not much of a craps player, but on occasion when I%26#39;m having a bad day at blackjack I play this game.

I begin by holding one dice at 5 the other at 1 on the come out roll, for some reason the numbers that come out alot for me are 4,5,6,10

Then after the come out roll I hold one dice at four and the other at three, my logic on this is that this particular number won%26#39;t come out on the roll, therefore eliminationfg one of the 7%26#39;s it has worked for me, but it seems like in craps the money swings are too volatile.

Anyone have any other ideas or superstitions on dice?

well Vegas43, since I am a bj player and semi-craps player too, let me tell you that your dice positions have several variables depending on how you position them vis-a-vis the other sides of the dice. Hope this doesn%26#39;t ';shoot'; down your streak.

underpar nothing is full proof or we would all be rich, it has worked for me nicely on occasion, then at times i%26#39;ve crapped out on the first roll after the come out which is the worst.

I think superstitions are great, but, I will guarantee you that how you hold the dice has absolutely no bearing on what numbers come up. There are so many other variables in the process of throwing the dice that controlling that one variable has little impact over the long haul.

What numbers ';seem'; to come up more often is probably not statistically valid and over the long run (thousands of rolls) those numbers will show depending on how many opportunities there are for that number.

But, if you think it works for you, keep doing it. I my opinion, craps is about having fun and short term streaks that might give you a chance to win some money or lose more slowly.

I know for a fact that there are 39 craps players in the world that can, on average, influence the roll of the dice by .0003471%. Not much, and you%26#39;re not one of them.:)

HardTenRoller - that was kind of the point I was trying to make. I just did not have the data that you had at hand. I get really amused when I am at a craps table and see some guy spending way too much time setting the dice. Then after the initial amusement wears off, I just start to get irritated because it slows the game down so much.

I%26#39;d love to know about the science that led to that conclusion, hardten.

Truman - 50% advanced numbers theory, 50% empirical evidence, and 50% logic, uh...wait.... never mind.

Got it. Pure truthiness.
