Hello, Travelling with my two daughters (age 18 %26amp; 20) to Vegas this May. They are not old enough to drink or gamble - so Shopping will be one of the highlights of our trip - I%26#39;ve already been to the Primm Outlet (via Shuttle from MGM last year) and would like to try another - which one would you recommend for their age group? Thanks!
Las Vegas Premium Outlets
My daughters are 19 and 16 and while I do not bring them to Vegas, I do shop for them when there. I think LV Premium Outlets downtown is your best bet. It has lots of the right stores (Armani Exchange, BCBG, bebe, Coach, Guess, LaCoste Puma, True Religion, etc., etc.). This is a huge outdoor mall. You could easily spend several hours here.
If you do not have a car, you could cab it. There is always a line of taxis ready to take you back to your hotel.
Las Vegas Outlets Outlet Center near the airport has some of the same stores but is much less pleasant. Sort of has the feel of a down-on-its-luck indoor mall from back hone. The kiosk people practically tackle you to listen to their pitches. On the plus side, you might find inventory here that you don%26#39;t find at the other location. I know this is true for Coach.
I also suggest Forum Shops at Caesar%26#39;s. You are not likely to find many bargains here, but as malls go, it is pretty spectacular.
Las Vegas Premium Outlets
I agree that Premium is the place to go with your daughters, especially if you don%26#39;t have many days to shop. Make sure you print out the coupon (don%26#39;t have the url, but easy to find online) to get their coupon book at their customer service office. However, a friend recently went to the Towne Square just south of Mandalay Bay and said that she loved shopping there even better than at the outlets. I checked out the web site and it seems to have a great variety of shops along with alot of greenery and many restaurants. I am going to check it out in April.
Your daughters will love the shopping in Vegas! The Premium Outlets are really nice with many stores, however we%26#39;ve been twice and found everything quite expensive.
The Outlet Center is much older, kind of like a large mall but you can find some really good deals. My daughter likes the Volcom and Coach stores. We%26#39;ve also been to the Boulevard and several malls but still find the Fashion Show Mall the very best place to shop. Abercrombie, Hollister, Forever 21, Macy%26#39;s and much more!
We%26#39;re going again next week and I can%26#39;t wait! Hope you have a great time.
I agree with MGMarch. The kiosk people are terrible and rude. Mall also not as good as in past on prices.
If you are looking for an outlet Mall- I would pick Premium over Las Vegas Outlet Center. But many stores in Vegas have A%26amp;F, Banana Republic,Gap and other stores of that nature. Right now the stores are hurting so you may just find that a regular mall is still a bargain.
Here is a list of malls. If you click on their websites you can see their stores.
