What's happening May 19 - 22 ?

Hi

We are staying at the Signature May 14 - 24. We booked some time ago and got a really good deal. Just looking at the rates now the Sun 20 and Mon 21 are sold out and Tue 22 is $449 (higher than usual).

Coming from the UK I was curious to know if there is a US public holiday or particular sporting event taking place over this period?

I%26#39;ve noticed this aswell, we%26#39;re going to be there at the same time and decided to change our hotel to The Wynn but could not get in on the 19th and 20th. It seems that most places are sold out on those dates but I%26#39;ve been unable to find out for what reason.

It is so bad! My doctor in Vegas has chosen Sunday May 20th to perform my procedure and my gosh, I can%26#39;t find ANYTHING. I like to choose nice hotels using tripadvisor but now I can%26#39;t find anything that weekend! I am getting desperate but not desperate enough to stay at a crummy or dirty place.

Someone said it was a publishing convention but I have not had that confirmed.

There have been a couple of replies to this question recently. There are a couple of large conventions plus I think it%26#39;s a Canadian holiday. I bookedthe Flamingo for 4 nights 20th-24th and paid $480, now it%26#39;s over $1500.

Their is a Canadian long weekend as well.

LOTS of Canadians come down to Vegas that weekend.

I just found out Bon Appetite%26#39;s Culinary %26amp; Wine Focus is May 17-20. It%26#39;s taking place at Caesar%26#39;s, Bellagio, The Wynn, and Lake Las Vegas. Might be part of the reason the hotels are full or rates are higher.

May 20 through 5.15 is INTEROP WEEK. this is a TECHNOLOGY INFORMATION SYSTEMS CONVENTION. INTEROP is one of the biggest conventions held in Vegas every year, and usually the price of accomadations go up and hotels are well packed ahead of convention time.

I am travelling to Vegas from Ontario Canada May 18-22 .. and got a great deal .. Staying at TI .. Flight and hotel - $577/pp CAD .. I was having a hard time finding that good of a deal though .. pricing would be great then skyrocket next day, then down again .. it was extremely frustrating .. Happy now though ..

I am trying to find out if there is anything happening that week but can%26#39;t find anything but the usual shows .. Does anyone know of a good website that has that sort of information ? Any help would be appreciated ..
