Coin operated slots

This may sound like a silly question but I have not been to Vegas in 15 years so am out of the loop!

Do the slot machines still accept coins or all they all dollar bills now?

Bills only, or tickets.

There are a few places on Fremont St that still take nickels.

thanks!

The slots machines take a lot more credits to play than they did 15 years ago. Many penny machines will take $3 and more if you play max credits.

There are still some machines at Slots A Fun on the north end of the Strip that are coin-in, coin-out.

Mermaids and La Bayou both take coins, Slots o fun, did too... Not many left though.

VV that is a good message to pass along.

It is easy to think that the max bet is minimal on some machines or is the same for similar machines. you really have to %26#39;learn%26#39; each machine!

tanfan, I remember several years ago, friends/family would send along a roll of quarters to play for them in LV. If you are saving coins for your trip, cash them in before you go. Last Sept, we were standing in line for the Orleans buffet and we were chatting with a couple behind us. They drove to LV and brought their coins with them only to find out that most of the machines take only bills now.
