I have never ridden the Deuce before so I have a couple questions. I have a room at the Encore but am double booked at the Plaza due to a $200 in cash offer. So I need to take my stuff to the Encore after I get off the airplane, then make my way downtown. I am going to take a cab to the Encore, but don%26#39;t really want to spend $100 cabs the first night. So my question, how long does it take to get from Encore to Downtown on the Deuce? Do you just pay when you get on the bus or do you need some type of pass? Thanks for the help guys.
T-5
Encore to Downtown on the Duece?
1/2 hour-ish. You can pay when you get on. $3 for one trip. $7 for a 24-hour pass. If you want the $15 72-hour pass, that you have to buy in advance.
Encore to Downtown on the Duece?
Anyone ride this thing multiple times?
This female spoke to me about the Duece this last weekend. First she said I%26#39;d probably hit my head, then she complained about Timeshare people on the duece spewing their presentation and you had no where to go to get away until the duece stopped!
Is this normal?
I thought that happened on the shuttle, or does it happen on the deuce too????
I didnt see any timeshare people on the bus and we got it a few times, it wasnt too bad but very busy!!
Time Share Jackels on the Deuce? Of the times iv%26#39;e ridden the Deuce iv%26#39;e never encountered or seen any trying to spew their presentations while on the Deuce..that a new one to me.
I didn%26#39;t experience any timeshare people on the Deuce, but I would pay for a cab any day to go downtown. Our bus ride was almost an hour from MGM. Not worth the savings if you ask me.
Ugh.. the deuche... It can take forever to get anywhere on that thing!! Yes it is very cheap, but the time taken from me sitting on a slow bus in Vegas is far to precious. I%26#39;d say, if it looks like a light traffic day on the bus, go fro it not cab it..
Once it took over 2 hours to go from the Trop to downtown. When we got there, I felt tired!! Getting back to a zoo too....
If the timeshare people are on the bus... I think I%26#39;d find a way to keep myself enertained, by looking interested.. then waste their time.. I would never buy!! ;)
The few times I%26#39;ve been on it, it%26#39;s been really crowded. You either have to stand or sit with people standing and hovering over you with elbows in your face. I might would ride it again to save a few bucks, but no way would DW ever get on it again.
If you walk across the elevated walkway from the Encore to the Fashion Show Mall right across Las Vegas Blvd. , there is a city bus stop right outside the Neiman Marcus store- between the Mall and TI. The 116 runs from that bus stop on a side street parralel to the Strip(Industrial Rd.) to Downtown in half the time it takes the Deuce. I think the fare is $1.75. It doesn%26#39;t stop where the Duece does Downtown, but on a side street- ask the driver which stop would get you closest to the Plaza- I%26#39;m thinking it would be the one behind Golden Nugget. . I%26#39;d choose that over the Deuce anytime- usually not very crowded either.
How crowded the Deuce is depends on when you get on. If you%26#39;re getting on at Encore heading north to downtown, expect it to be very crowded because of all the people who have gotten on before you. In fact, sometimes the buses get too full to pick up any more passengers and will not even stop at Encore.
I suggest you take a cab from Encore to get downtown - shouldn%26#39;t cost you more than $12 or so. Then you can take the Deuce back.
