Caesars 3/24-3/31

Just returned from a week at CP. Positives-SWA at PHL upgraded their security checkin. Much smoother process. Flight arrived 1/2 hr EARLY. Weather was up and down (high 40s at night, windy 60%26#39;s up to 81). Bring layers and comfortable shoes. Convertible not ready at Budget. Waited 1 1/2 hrs since we were early. Gave us a Tahoe. Got to CP and rec%26#39;d call that convertible now available. Checked in, went back for car that we passed on the way to pickup Tahoe! CP-5 of 7 nights comped. We reserved upgrade to Forum, but clerk gave us suite in Palace Tower. Beautiful room, 2 bath, jacuzzi, double shower, sitting area BUT last room at end of hall, facing pool and CONSTRUCTION. If you like to be awakened at 3-5 am every day of your vacation with the beeps of heavy duty equipment and bang bang of machinery, then this is the tower for you! 3 of the pools are now open. Looks like they are building 3 additional pools in addition to the new Octavius Tower. Chairs are limited poolside. Unfortunately we decided not to pack up and relocate. Not so lucky with slots in HET properties. Did hit for $175 at Casino Royale and $32.50 at the airport! I can still hear that catchy tune from the Hot Shots slots! Took convertible rides to Red Rock, VOF, Primm (had to see what the fuss was about), back to Laughlin and to Route 66, then past Hoover Dam back to LV. Made our 4th visit to Shelby (for my husband%26#39;s mustang fix.) Stood on walkway over strip at Ballys on Sat. for the ';lights out'; event. Marquees dimmed one by one. Disappointed by the Flamingo buffet-slow service and stood in line for long time. Bellagio buffet was better-food and atmosphere. Peppermill service was so-so, although breakfast was good. Also ate at Bejiing Noodle #9 in CP - interesting atmosphere. Lots of walking and relaxing...didn%26#39;t earn enough winnings for shows/spa this time (6th visit), but enjoyed getting away from the cold, damp dreary weather in DE. So far, end of April was most enjoyable weather in LV for us.

Thanks for your TR. I%26#39;ve heard of Beijing Noodle #9 at CP. You say interesting atmosphere. Is that where you can watch them pull the noodles? And how was the food?

Thanks for writing.

Nice score on the Palace room.Sounds good!

Very good TR, thanks for sharing!!! WOW on the upgrade to the Palace Tower very nice room, sorry to hear about the construction. How was the Bejiing Noodle #9 at CP, was it good, was it worth it?????

Nice TR, thanks for writing!

I%26#39;ll be staying at Caesars for 2 nights in May. I was told we could use Paris pool since theirs is under construction.

Nice T.R. Blazing 777%26#39;s! I%26#39;m glad you had a nice time!

We too are going to Caesar%26#39;s the second week in July. Hopefully by then the construction will be finished. We also got 5 nights comped in the Forum Tower. I will definately try to get a comp upgrade (via TIP$$)! Do the Palace Tower Suites have a separate bedroom and a separate refrigerator (not mini-bar)? I would like to try for either this or the Augustus Tower.

Thanks!

Beijing Noodle has 2 counters - one near the entrance where you can watch chef make handmade noodles. Everything is white scroll wall and ceiling coverings except the large goldfish tanks that you pass to enter (made me dizzy at first). There is another counter at the back where you can also sit and observe the chefs. Of course there are regular tables, including large tables with lazy susans. I had Kung Pao Chicken and my husband had chicken stir fry with noodles. Both very delicious and pricing very reasonable (as far as Caesars goes). The table next to us had entrees that served the entire table. Lots of food, but not overwhelming. Server was very attentive.

Palace Tower suite did not have separate bedroom and living area but room was spacious. It had the mini bar, no separate fridge, but said you could request a fridge. Don%26#39;t move anything in the fridge...they will charge as many have experienced. Caesars Pools (3 as of 3/31) were open and warm. I have stayed at Paris several times and found that the pool area is shaded by the hotel and the water is cold.
