Last $50

It%26#39;s your last day in vegas and you have only $50 left to gamble. How do you play it?

Last $50

If it%26#39;s strictly gambling money. I%26#39;ll probably put it on Banker at the Baccarat table and let it ride once. That%26#39;ll put me at $200 for the day to play with, or it%26#39;ll put me at $0 for the day.

Either way, if I%26#39;m coming home with just $50 anyway, I might as well go for broke at the end.

Last $50

My last $50.00 of gambling money... I%26#39;d get it all in 5%26#39;s and play slots!

I guess this is kinda related... on my last trip, down to my last $100, went to the high limit bar at NYNY and played Double Double Bonus poker at the $1 level at the bar so I could have a few good drinks with my last remaining cash, and hit AAAA for $800.

I had this situation my last trip in October. I put 25 on a number in roulette and spread in the rest over some numbers with 5 dollar chips. I hit the 875 and made up for my losses for the past couple days.

To be honest... I swear. I quit and then I go home and tell my friends that I lost less money that I planned on.

I always wish that I bet my last 50 with 25 on the Pass line on craps, and played all night long using the 75 I should now have till I HAD to leave town!

That second strategy has worked for me, but I have left town broke on occasion too!

Your choice, and good LUCK!

I always take my last $25 and place it on the number 4 on roulette.

I am running at 4 wins vs 10 losses so I probably should quit while I%26#39;m ahead.

Now if I could just find a way to stay off the craps table.

I always put my last bit of money on black. If it hits, I let it ride. I%26#39;ll let it ride again and again till I end up losing it. For whatever reason, I can%26#39;t ever pick up my winnings and walk away. And I never bet on red, don%26#39;t know why but I don%26#39;t.

the bonus bet on four card poker

Either Megabucks slot machine or Wheel of Fortune slot machine, whichever jackpot is way over it%26#39;s normal range and looks like it might payoff soon.

I can%26#39;t retire on $800 or $1000 dollars. But I can retire if I win 6 - 20 million dollars.

If your going to be lucky, be lucky BIG!

Several, (many), years ago, I stayed at the Lady Luck...was down to $100.00 (last day) My friends were playing craps so I walked up, threw the money down and said, ';$25.00 all the hard ways. My friends were freaking out. I could not believe that the next 2 rolls were a hard 8 and a hard 10. Can%26#39;t remember what the payoff was but it made up for my losses.

  • Best nightclubs for someone on crutches?

I can%26#39;t believe this hasn%26#39;t been asked before, given the clubgoing set%26#39;s fondness for the combination of high heels and alcohol, but here goes. I%26#39;m taking my sister to Vegas for her 21st on April 13. A few weeks ago, she wrecked her ankle while running; she had surgery yesterday to repair the ligaments (no bones broken, thankfully) and will be in a walking cast during the trip. This throws a wrench in our plans.

Obviously, we won%26#39;t be dancing the night away, so: What nightlife suggestions do you have for someone whose mobility is limited and who may be on crutches? I%26#39;m looking for something in between dollar margaritas (well, we%26#39;ll hit those earlier in the day!) and, say, Pure. We can%26#39;t afford bottle service, so I%26#39;m thinking we may have to stick to bars/lounges with plenty of seating. We%26#39;re staying at THEhotel at Mandalay and we%26#39;ll be there Sunday through Wednesday. We%26#39;re a group of three ladies (21, 25 and -- gulp -- far too close to 30 for comfort).

Thanks in advance for your help, guys! I mostly lurk on the Vegas boards, and you seem like a nice bunch. :)

Best nightclubs for someone on crutches?

I know a gal with one leg shorter than the other, her name is Eileen, she always danced in a circle.

Anyway, She liked Body English at the Hard Rock.

Best nightclubs for someone on crutches?

LOL, I%26#39;m going to tell my sister that.

I%26#39;ve heard Body English has a good Sunday night party -- we may decide to check that out. Grace turns 21 at 12:01 a.m. that Sunday and we plan to hit the ground running. ... well, limping.

Amazingly enough this was my situation last year except it was a lot worse for me. I broke my ankle and had to have 2 surgeries to fix the bones and reattache the ligaments. I went to Vegas 6 weeks later when I got out of my plaster cast and was only on my 2nd day in a walking cast. I went clubbing every night of my week stay. Voodoo Lounge was particularly helpful as they stored my wheelchair the minute I walked into the club. Also, having the walking cast allowed me to cut taxi lines, buffet lines, rides lines, and club lines.

Anyway, to answer your question, Voodoo Lounge was great, House of Blues, Tabu, Ivan Forty Duece, Eyecandy, Cathouse, Diego and Krave.

suggest she rents a scooter during the trip.

    anybody been to see mystere?

Headed out in a couple weeks and have the chance to see Mystere --should I take it?

    anybody been to see mystere?

Definitely, I saw it last year. I did enjoyed it although I have to see it again cos I had too many cocktails and found myself nodding off.(nothing to do with the show, just cocktails and lack of sleep) I would like to see it again and many on this forum have seen it more than once because they enjoyed it so much. One tip I would arrive early for the show, trust me;)

    anybody been to see mystere?

Yes... my favorite Cirque show, in my opinion it%26#39;s the best one.

Yes it was my first show and I loved it!

Don%26#39;t even think about it- go! It is an excellent show and a great introduction to the Cirque experience. It is really amazing.

I saw it in June and I loved it. It%26#39;s beautiful. O is still my favorite but Mystere was fabulous.

    We saw it last year. It was a good show, but I%26#39;m not sure Cirque is our ';thing.';

When you say, ';have the chance to see Mystere';, what do you mean? We basically all ';have the chance'; . . . it%26#39;s there. Are you getting free tickets? If so . . . absolutely . . . see it! Why are you thinking???

    Enjoy!

GO. And get there early to watch the pre-show ';entertainment';. Nothing big if you don%26#39;t see it but it%26#39;s funny to watch the clown.

The line to go in is HUGE but once they open the doors, the line moves quickly.

Sounds like one of those things I shouldn%26#39;t miss, then. To answer the question, our business event is offering the opportunity to go with discounted tickets- that is ';the chance';.

Why am I thinking??? Well, I love watching the Cirque programs on TV, but when we saw LOVE I was totally UNimpressed with the experience and don%26#39;t want to feel like I wasted our time when LV offers so many entertainment options.

Have seen them all. Mystere is still my favorite (%26#39;O%26#39; next).

Mystere is very, very different from Love. Love is all about the music- not so Mystere. Love isn%26#39;t a good representation of Cirque shows. Not that it isn%26#39;t a good show- it is an excellent show. But you can not compare it with Mystere.

How do you spend your first day.....

once you%26#39;ve checked in and settled down?

  • Car Rental

Looking for a car rental mid May for a week..Delta had Avis at a great rate last night. I went on to book this morning and it was gone. Up almost $100.00, could kick myself for not booking last night. Does anyone have suggestions what a good rate might be and where to look. Thanks.

    Car Rental

What dates, class and rate did you have or are you interested in? Also, does it have to be Avis?

    Car Rental

May 10-16. Economy or Compact. No it does have to be Avis. We would like to pick it up at the airport. I understand there is a shuttle that takes you to car rentals. Any suggestions are greatly appreciatead. Thanks!!

Today its around 180.00 to 200.00. Last night I let $145.00 go by.

Looking to rent a car for just one day on April 28th. Staying at TI and would like to pick up early (8 am) and close to there. Does Dollar still have a stand there now that MGM sold it? What is the best way to get a low one day rate without going back to the airport?

Rates for hotel pick up are usually a lot higher than the Airport even with their extra fees.

There is a Dollar location at TI.

You can check their locations %26amp; hours on the Dollar web site . Compare rates for youself.

Alamo %26amp; National do not have off airport locations.

    JW Marriott

We are planning a trip to Las Vegas in late May early July with our two young adult children-20 and 22. We have Marriot Points; thus, would like to stay at the JW Marriot. How far is it from the strip? Will be at a distict disadvantage in going and coming? Thanks

    JW Marriott

Its about 20 minutes from the strip with no traffic. Its a nice property in a residential area.

    ';Will be at a distict disadvantage in going and coming?';

Sorry, this question I dont understand?

    JW Marriott

GoodBeer is right, it is a nice property about 20 minutes from the strip. It is located in the upscale community of Summerlin. A car is a must if you stay here. Property has a very nice pool and spa. Super location if you golf as it is right at TPC and Angel Park. The dining choices are OK but there are many other nice choices near by.

I also don%26#39;t get the ';disadvantage in going and coming'; question.

The disadvantage is you are not on the strip and will have to come and go each time you want to come down there.

We love this hotel and have stayed there several times. If you are thinking of a relaxing getaway, then it is perfect. If you are thinking of spending a lot of time on the strip going from hotel to hotel, seeing shows, etc. then it is probably not your best choice. The 20 %26amp; 22 yr olds would probably not find it very exciting. There is a small casino attached, but it is more of a locals place.

Next quickest way from the airport to Stratosphere?

Other than taking a cab that is. I%26#39;m going to Vegas for the first time and will be staying here 2 nights and 1 night at the Venetian. It%26#39;s free for me, so I%26#39;m going to make the best of it!:)

Also, what%26#39;s the next quickest way back into the heart of the strip?

    Thanks so much!

Next quickest way from the airport to Stratosphere?

Other than a cab? Probably a helicopter.
